![]() At the 2006 Fall Conference in Denver, CO., RIA launched the first of several donnybrook debates on key industry issues. Loosely modeled after the Canadian ice hockey games, the donnybrooks have a commissioner, a referee, team captains, goalies, left and right wings and follow a 3-period format. Each team also prepares a formal paper outlining their position and providing supporting documentation. Round 2 was held at the RIA Convention in Orlando, FL, in March 2007. Round 3 took place in Oct. 2007 at the RIA Fall Conference in Garden Grove, CA. The final round for the Pricing Debate of the Donnybrooks will take place at the RIA Convention in Dallas, TX, in March 2008.
